Hey here’s again a new recruitment from SSC. Eligible and interested candidates may apply from 1 February 2019 for these positions. The Commission for the Selection of Staff has announced a notification for the examination of Junior Engineers (mechanical, electrical, civil and quantitative surveys and contracts). The posts details are as follows,

Essential qualification required for each of the posts is as, For the Central Water Commission, candidates should have a degree or diploma in civil engineering from a recognized university or institution. For the Central Water Commission, candidates from a recognized university or institution should have a degree or diploma in mechanical engineering. Candidates should have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute for the Department of Central Public Works (CPWD) – Junior Engineer (Civil). Applicants must have a diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering from a recognized university or institute for the Department of Central Public Works (CPWD). The candidates for the Department of Posts – Junior Engineer (Civil) should have a three-year diploma or equivalent in civil engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or the State Government. For military engineering services (MES) – applicants for junior engineering (civil) should have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or a diploma in civil engineering from a recognized institute or university or board, and two years of experience in the planning, execution and maintenance of civil engineering. For Military Engineering Services (MES) – Junior Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical) applicants should have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or a three-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or university or board and two years of experience in planning, execution and maintenance of electrical or mechanical engineering. For Military Engineering Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Quantity Survey and Contracts) applicants should have a three-year diploma in civil engineering from a recognized Institute / University / Board or equivalent or intermediate examination of the Institute of Surveyors (India) in buildings and quantity surveys Sub-division II. The applicants for the Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Civil) should have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute or board. The applicants for the Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Civil) should have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute or board. Candidates for the Farakka Barrage Junior Engineer (Mechanical) project should have a Mechanical Engineering Diploma from a recognized university or institute or board. For the Border Road Organization, applicants for junior engineering (civil) should have a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university / institute or a diploma in civil engineering from a recognized university / institute / board and two years of experience in the planning / execution / maintenance of civil engineering. Candidates applying for the Central Water and Power Research Station – Junior Engineer (Civil) should graduate from a recognized university in civil engineering. For the Central Water and Power Research Station – Junior Engineer (Electrical), candidates from a recognized university should have a diploma in electrical engineering. For the Central Water and Power Research Station Junior Engineer (mechanical), candidates from a recognized university should have a diploma in mechanical engineering. For the Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval) – Junior Engineer (Mechanical) applicants should have a degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university or a three – year degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university or institution and two years of experience in the relevant fields. For the Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval) – Junior Engineer (Electrical) applicants should have a degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university Three years in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institution and two years of experience in the relevant fields. Applicants for the National Organization for Technical Research (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Civil) should have a diploma in civil engineering from a recognized university / institution. Applicants for the National Organization for Technical Research (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Electrical) should have a diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized university / institution. Applicants for the National Organization for Technical Research (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Mechanical) should have a diploma in mechanical engineering from a recognized university / institution.

The maximum age limit for the positions of Junior Engineers in different ministries/departments as on 01/08/2019 is as follows, 32 years for Central Water Commission – Junior Engineer (Civil), Central Water Commission – Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Junior Engineer (Civil) and  Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Junior Engineer (Electrical). 30 years for Military Engineer Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Civil), Military Engineer Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Civil), Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Electrical), Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Border Road Organization – Junior Engineer (Civil), Central Water and Power Research Station – Junior Engineer (Civil), Central Water and Power Research Station – Junior Engineer (Electrical), Central Water and Power Research Station – Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval) – Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval) – Junior Engineer (Electrical), National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Civil), National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Electrical) and National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) – Junior Engineer (Mechanical). 27 years for Department of Posts – Junior Engineer (Civil) and Military Engineer Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying and Contracts). There is also upper age relaxation allowable 5 years for SC/ST Category, 3 years for OBC Category, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), 13 years for PwD + years for OBC, 15 years forPwD + SC/ ST, 3 years after the deduction of the military service given to ex-servicemen( ESM) from the present age, 3 years for Candidates ordinarily residing in the State of Jammu & Kashmir between 01- 01- 1980 and 31- 12- 1989, 3 years for defense personnel disabled and released as a consequence during hostilities with any foreign country or in a troubled area and 8 years for Defense Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with or in disturbed areas of any foreign country and released as a result (SC / ST).

The positions are group “B” (Non-Gazetted) at level 6, for which the 7th Central Pay Commission will pay Rs 35400-112400 /-. Candidates applying for the post will have to pay ₹100/-  as Application Fee. Applicants from Scheduled Caste( SC), Scheduled Tribe( ST), persons with disabilities( PwD) and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempt from payment of the fee. Use BHIM UPI, SBI Challan / Net Banking or Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit Card to pay the application fee.
