RRB JE Recruitment for various Railway JE, DMS, CMA Posts
Railway recently issued official notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (informative technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). Initially, the Railway Recruitment Board announced the vacancy of 14,033 posts, but later on 30 December 2018, the Railway Recruitment Board issued a revised notification in which the posts were reduced by 546 and the new announcement was for 13,487 posts in which the number of posts is as follows,
12844 vacancies for Junior Engineer (JE), 29 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Information Technology), 227 vacancies for Depot Superintendent (DMS) and 387 vacancies for Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).
For this recruitment, the required academic education qualification is as, Candidates with a diploma / degree in engineering qualification may apply for Junior Engineer (JE) positions. Candidates with a diploma / degree in engineering may apply for the Depot Material Superintendent (DMS). Candidates with BE / B.Tech for junior engineers (computer science and information technologies). (Computer Science / Information Technology) or PGDCA (Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Application) or B.Sc (Computer Science) or BCA-Bachelor of Computer Science or DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses) “B” 3-year or equivalent level course may apply and for Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), candidates may apply for a bachelor’s degree with at least 45 percent marks in physics and chemistry.
Candidates with a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 33 years may apply for these positions if they talk about the age limit. While SC / ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years and OBC non-creamy layer candidates 3 years. For ex-serviceman from the category Unreserved / OBC non-Creamy layer / SC / ST, the age relaxation will also be permitted, plus the number of years of service in Defense plus the maximum age limit of 3 years. And for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), an age relaxation of 10 years for unreserved candidates, 13 years for OBC non-creamy layer candidates and 15 years for SC / ST candidates is allowed. At 01.01.2019, lower and upper age limits are calculated.
In accordance with level 6 (RSRP 7th CPC Pay Matrix) for the positions of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (information technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) will initially be paid 35400 plus other allowances per month.
Candidates must pay an examination fee of Rs 500 and those candidates who appear in stage 1 of the CBT will be reimbursed Rs 400 from the railways. SC / ST / ex-serviceman / PwBDs / Female / Transgender / minority / economic backward class candidates The examination fee will be paid for Rs 250 and the candidates who appear in stage CBT-1 will be reimbursed for the total amount of Rs 250 duly deducting bank charges.
The examination fee can be paid via online banking / debit card / credit card or UPI via online mode and you can pay by post office challan from any post office or State Bank challan from any branch of SBI for offline payment.
First, the candidates must appear for a computer-based test (CBT examination), in which the candidates will have two CBT examinations, first stage CBT and second stage CBT. A total of 100 questions will be asked in the CBT-I examination, for which you will be given 90 minutes and 120 minutes for PWD candidates. Let me tell you that the CBT-I is a qualifying examination, the list of merits for CBT-II will be created on the basis of the normalized marks obtained in the CBT-I examination. Then I qualified candidates for the 2nd stage CBT examination will appear.
There will be a total of 150 questions for CBT-II, for which 120 minutes will be allocated and 160 minutes for PWD candidates. Let me tell you that the final merit will be based on the marks obtained in the CBT-II examination, so that you must perform as well as possible in the CBT-II examination.
CBT-II qualify candidates will then be asked to verify the documentation, in which your documents will be checked whether all documents are correct or not, there will be no psychological test or aptitude test for qualified candidates. Candidates who are eligible for the CBT exam will be called directly for verification of documents.
A medical fitness test is then required for candidates whose verification documents are found to be correct. During the medical fitness test, there will be a general test so you don’t have to worry about it. The final stage of the selection process is the medical fitness test. This will be the final selection of qualified candidates following the submission of this letter on behalf of Railways to the candidates.

Online registration started on 2 January 2019 at 10:00 am, and the last date for online registration is 31 January 2019. Eligible and interested candidates may apply online before 31 January 2019, and the last date for the payment of the examination fee via the internet banking / debit card / credit card or UPI is 5 February 2019, and the last date for the payment of the examination fee is 4 February 2019.

Candidates should ensure that they have all the conditions of eligibility prescribed for the post(s) at the end of the online registration date (31.01.2019). Candidates waiting for final educational qualification results should not apply. The candidates eligibility will only be considered on the basis of the information provided in the Online Application. Candidates do not need to send printouts or certificates or copies of the application by post to the RRBs concerned. If any information submitted by the candidate in his / her application is found to be false/incorrect at any stage of the recruitment or subsequent recruitment, or if the candidate has deleted any relevant information or does not meet the eligibility criteria for the post(s), his / her candidacy will be immediately rejected. After submitting an application against this CEN, the RRBs shall not submit any representation to amend the information submitted in the application.
